Russian-Asian investment forum in Hong Kong

The Russian-Asian Investment Forum, organized by RBK, took place in Hong Kong from 30 October to 5 November.

The event was widely supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Hong Kong’s Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the State Agency for Encouraging Direct Foreign Investments «Invest Hong Kong».

The Forum was aimed at attracting attention of Asian investors to companies from Russia and the CIS; stimulating the investment activity and strengthening cooperation between Russian and Asian companies; examining new opportunities and the growing investment potential of countries within the Asian region; examining the advantages of Hong Kong as the world’s financial, service and logistic center; presenting innovation projects in the financial and banking field alongside small and medium-size businesses, construction, real estate, transport, infrastructure, trade, food production, agriculture, IT and high-tech.

Over 200 delegates took part in the event. Here are some of the speakers at the Forum: K. S. Chan, Financial Services and Treasury Secretary of the special autonomous territory of Hong Kong, Christopher Jackson, Hong Kong’s Trade Development Council Deputy Managing Director, Igor Slyunyaev, Governor of the Kostroma Region, Andrei Zokin, Vice-President of Gazprombank OJSC, Ronald Arculli, Chairman of Hong Kong stock exchange, Marshal Nicolson, Head of the Department of Equity Capital Market at the Bank of China; Paul Brown, JLL Sallmanns CEO, Sally Wong, CEO of the Investment Funds Association, Lyudmila Senkina, Deputy Head of the Federal Insurance Supervision Service, Raya Federova, Deputy Director of the Department of Long-term Financial Planning at the Finance Ministry of the Russian Federation and many other experts in the field of economics and finance from Russia and Asia.
